Just been selected for the Junior GB lead climbing team and only 12 years old (ok nearly 13). https://www.thebmc.co.uk/2014-gb-junior-climbing-teams-selected

I've been climbing since I was 18 months old but started seriously at 6 years old. Watching a climbing competition made me want to compete and try to get a place on the GB team - I DID IT!!!

I also love to trad climb on grit when I can but haven't had a chance this year.

2nd Trad Lead!!!!!!!!!!!

Today I lead Heaven Crack at Stanage - classic VD with ***. Placed the gear my self. Dad prusiked up beside me to check it. Scary in places and nearly just rush up the middle section without  any gear, but decided that I better slow down and put some in. Noah seconded and I belayed him (dad backed me up having set up the belay)
Loved it, need to get out and do more trad route soon - hope the weather holds.

nearly got a 7a lead - at The Foundry!

Met up with Lydia (from the Midlands BMC YCS Area) at the Foundry for a bit of climbing.

Tried the 7a on the main wall that I've top roped as a lead and got all but the last move!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!frown

Will get it next time!!!!!!!!!
